I have a bit of a rant about the visual inaccessibility of the patterns and layout in Laine magazine. I had got this magazine specifically for the Poet sweater, by Sari Nordlund. I got the yarn that I wanted to use – Bealach Astair from Uist Wool  – however the pattern was not laid out well in the magazine. This is the final show of the year – I am trying to dispense with the C word in this episode. There are plenty of great people writing great things about gifts for knitters and how to do last minute gift knitting – there’s not much of that here – other than our own small gestures swap – just the usual wooliness and japes with me!
