Last week I went to Dundee to visit yarn shop Fluph and the wondrous proprietress Leona Jayne Kelly (and her two dogs Oskar and Arthur). We talk about wool, dyeing, the day-to-day of running a yarn shop and the juggling involved. We have a right old laugh too and listen in for a lovely give-away too!
This week I am excited to tell you about Whistlebare and introduce you to Alice Elsworth who is hear to talk about her home grown and dyed mohair and wensleydale yarns.
For the past couple of years I have written posts on Christmas gifts for knitters, full of lovely items that the knitter in your life would covet or that we would buy as a gift to ourselves. This year I am going to focus on beautiful kits by independent designers and small businesses. There will also be kits for different abilities and which feature different techniques and I really hope that you will agree that there will be something for everyone.
It’s autmuny/wintery; the clocks have changed and a darker period of the year is opening up in front of us offering us more knitting time…is that what I want to cast on all the things??
